A couple of quick things

Hi everyone, just a couple of quick 'housekeeping' points I wanted to make to try to help the forum run more smoothly.  First is that you will notice some of the categories changing and moving about and some of you may find that your messages are disappearing, well dont worry there not gone, I have either moved them to a more specific category or they have been archived.  I am doing this because the other day I was looking for a message to post some info I had been researching and after 30 mins of searching I still couldnt find it.  This prompted me to overhaul the forum and try to make topics more category specific.

In doing that it brought me to the second point, I have noticed that alot of times the original thread morphs into something else and so the topic becomes about something else and when this happens, all the new info is in a topic that isnt related to it at all.  A perfect example of this is a post made a few hours ago by cory in the This sums it up topic in the members thoughts and feelings thread where she answers to the original post and then changes subject and talks about what her and fore were talking about in another thread about aliens.  Dont be upset with me pointing that out hun, its just the most recent example of hundreds of them throughout the forum, you know I luvvvv ya!  It was good to see though that fore took the comment in that thread and moved it over to the actual thread where they were discussing it.  This keeps the info in the same place.

Now I know probably every single one of us including me are guilty of doing this, however if it was that hard for me to find messages and info in my own forum, imagine how hard it is for newcomers. So I am asking all of us to start being self disciplined and instead of doing the easy thing and changing subject in the same message, if you have something else off topic you want to add, then please find the right category and go and start a new topic.
This brings us to the third point, Topics... some of the titles are so ambiguous (sp) that its hard to know what the message is about, when looking back over past messages its hard to know if what your looking for is in there.  So I also would ask that everyone take particular care in naming their messages. Please make the topic such that it explains what the message is about, it does not have to be long, just to the point.

If we can all do these few things I think this forum will be much more user freindly and much easier to find information in.  I hope you can all help out with doing these few things.
