The New Testament... the great deception?

I definitely believe that the bible has been forged and re-written many times over. It's sad that people follow the book like it's actually god or something. Little do they know how all of the religions came about... basiaclly as a form of control and a part of the plan to have us forget who we are and were.

Indeed... I think we need to take the truth that resonates with us...

Like for example... This article talks about how many times the New Testament has been altered ... adding and substracting information etc, and this resonates with me... however I believe in Christ too and maybe the way they interprete what they they have discovered is not shown the right way.

I Believe that Jesus existed and he taught his disciples a lot of things... However it wasn't precisely the gospels that we see in the Bible... I believe he taught his disciples something similar to what the new age spirituality teaches.

So usually I take what resonates with me and what doesn't I discard it lol

We have no way to really know what went on all those centuries but deep inside of us we know... we feel the truth, so it is all we have to keep on going and we should trust it :))))

I for some reason, since I was a child I have never prayed to Jesus... or to a Saint even though I was raised in a catholic family and studied all my primary and secondary school in a catholic school.

I always prayed to God directly... Maybe I know that Jesus is an ascended master and that when they talked about the Father , Son and Holly Spirit being one I knew somehow that it was referring to what we all are, just as Jesus is.

I just wanted to say that maybe Jesus did walk the Earth... But something tells me that he didn't want us to worship him as a God but as brother who is trying to help us 'See' the way... I just cannot base my life off of one guy no matter how much he is put on a pedi stool by people thousands of years ago who thought the earth was flat... maybe some of the things they wrote were wrong and made up... And if that's the case then I believe that a lot of what was written about jesus was wrong and made up... Look at how Christianity has killed people through out history to MAKE people convert to the religion... Any religion with a base like that I in no way shape or form will believe in or speak highly of. And that why I belive that's why a lot of us always prayed to God because it is the one true source of everything... Not Jesus who was God's son... which we are all God's children so we have the ability to be as wise a 'Jesus' was.

Even if it has been manipulated, we need to remember that his messages ARE still there, as well as his life and what happened to him. So don't let it turn you off the entire thing comepetely. :P

Yeah, I always prayed to God... but I did 'talk' to Jesus... just not always in a worshiping way. lmaoo

yup yup... I know deep in me that Jesus was here and all his teachings were the true teachings but not exactly the way the Bible presents them, just the essence of his teachings are there where he says that we all all one and that love is the path to God.

The problem is if we start to doubt what is right and wrong, we may start to doubt that which was his words... doubt his message... and that's very bad, very very bad. I'm not saying that we should not realize that it has been altered... but we need to find a balance between trusting our instincts, our hearts, and trusting the words on the pages. Realize that both tell the truth and both lie... our heart is the guide to the bible, and the bible is a guide to our heart.

hehe, I suppose what I do is praying. And I respect him because, sybolically and spiritually, he WAS the son of god. I don't care if he had children or a wife, or even made mistakes, because he was human and that's what makes him special. He was like the next step, what we're destined to become. I think that was what we were always supposed to be, and from time to time we've needed nudges in the right direction again.

What I meant when I posted this information cory was simply to demonstrate that maybe as many are saying now due to the latest discoveries on the texts of the ancient scrolls is that Jesus teachings were more related to gnostic teachings than anything.. That is the knowledge that we are One and we are a divine spark of God. Many times it shows in the Bible that Jesus used to say to his disciples that we could do even greater things than him.

When he said that the way to God was through him, he meant his teachings... He meant through love.. He always said God was love.

It is not diminishing his word but by the contrary augmenting it.. giving to it more importance.

If the ancient scrolls are right, then all our believes about us being also the children of God are true, and that what we are made at His Image and Likeness.

I never meant to discourage our believe in Jesus, but to reaffirm it through all that is being revealed to us nowadays.

Also to give some courage to people who think that these new teachings of the new age are the devil's teachings.

They are not... they are the plain truth and we all are welcome to the temple of God because we all are His children see?
